little Road trip part 10

    • Absolutely, Mcgreggor is stunning. All the houses are similar and the town is in the Karoo nestled against the mountain. It is stunning olive and wine country. On the other side of the mountain is Greyton, also gorgeous but completely different and lush green. Many years ago they started to build a road joining the two but it got abandoned for who knows what reason. It’s quite a popular thing for people to drive to Greyton, spend the night in a B&B and then hike to Mcgreggor and spend the night. Then hike back the following day. Although only 26 kilometres apart, Greyton takes an hour to get to from Cape Town, Mcgreggor takes about two and a half because you have to take a different route.
